About QNC

Queensland Nursing Council (QNC) is an independent statutory body that regulates nursing and midwifery in Queensland.

QNC is directly accountable to Parliament through the Minister for Health.

Public protection is our first priority.

Vision

To achieve leadership, excellence and quality in the regulation of nursing and midwifery practice for the public and profession, through education, research and practice standards.

Mission

To provide for safe and competent nursing and midwifery practice in Queensland.

Role

Our role is to set the standards for nursing and midwifery education, practice, licensing and conduct in Queensland.

These standards are essential for the protection of consumers.
