Each year, the Queensland Nursing Council (QNC) provides more than $300,000 in research grants, scholarships and book bursaries to Queensland nurses, midwives and nursing students.
Our research grants contribute to the development and expansion of an evidence-based practice environment in Queensland that will enhance professional practice and support professional accountability.

Our scholarships provide support for the continuing education of nurses and midwives through formal award courses and participation in professional development activities such as conferences and short courses.

The Sally Goold Book Bursary is our newest funding initiative. It was developed to assist Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nursing students to undertake their first nursing qualification and, through an increase in the number of Indigenous nurses, to ultimately improve health outcomes for Indigenous Queenslanders.
